Graduates of the Emergency Medical Technology-Paramedic (EMT-P) program (now listed in the Canadian Forces Opportunities Directory) who are considering a career in the Canadian Forces are eligible for advanced standing as a Canadian Forces Medical Technician. If students are just entering the EMT-P program, they may apply to the Canadian Forces through their paid education program. If accepted, students receive subsidized college tuition, books and academic equipment, in addition to a salary with benefits and a guaranteed job upon graduation. Graduates of the Advanced Care Paramedic diploma, with a minimum GPA of 2.7, are eligible to apply to NAIT’s Bachelor of Technology in Technology Management (Btech-TM). The BTech-TM offers diploma graduates the opportunity to earn a recognized baccalaureate degree with two additional years of study. This degree bridges the gap between technologists and management; students will build upon their strong technical backgrounds by adding the leadership and critical thinking skills needed to take on management and supervisory roles.
